Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, the Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of UAEU, remarked that this honor reflects the university's long journey since it became the UAE’s first comprehensive national university. He further noted that UAEU’s leading position in the UAE and its strides among Asia's top universities showcase its dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and research, aligning with the UAE leadership’s vision of knowledge and human investment.

The 2026 THE Asia University Rankings evaluated universities based on 18 performance indicators categorized into five main aspects: teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry income.
