A distinguished delegation from the General Women's Union (GWU) engaged in meaningful discussions with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) during their official trip to China. This visit was facilitated by the UAE Embassy in Beijing.
This meeting is an integral part of the UAE-China Businesswomen Council's overarching goal to enhance institutional collaboration and foster knowledge exchange geared towards sustainable international partnerships. This initiative is in line with both nations' commitment to driving economic growth and innovation.
The UAE team was spearheaded by H.E. Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the GWU, while the CPC's representation included Yu Wei, Deputy Director-General of the CPC Central Committee's International Department alongside other seasoned officials.
In the course of their dialogue, the two parties examined the CPC Central Committee's valuable experience in maintaining external relations, highlighting the importance of its International Department, which engages with over 600 political parties and organizations globally to facilitate meaningful global conversations and institutional partnerships.
Furthermore, the discussion delved into potential joint initiatives centered around knowledge sharing and capacity-building aimed at improving institutional functionality and supporting sustainable growth in alignment with wider international cooperation initiatives.
This meeting aligns with the vision of the UAE General Women's Union for activating the UAE-China Businesswomen Council, a significant outcome of the Emirati women entrepreneurs councils initiative set in friendly nations, introduced under the leadership of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the GWU, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.
The initiative is aimed at empowering Emirati women to enhance their global footprints and broaden their roles in international economic cooperation with strategic allies.
In her closing remarks, Noura Al Suwaidi underscored the significance of such collaborations for reinforcing international institutional partnerships, further enabling Emirati women to contribute actively to global developmental trajectories.
The CPC representatives lauded the UAE’s visionary leadership and recognized H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's relentless commitment to promoting women’s empowerment, labeling the UAE model as a prominent example on both regional and global stages.
