Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath, along with 22 others, have been charged in a fraud case in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. This incident involves the Loni Urban Multi-State Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society, for which they served as brand ambassadors. A local resident, Babli, filed the complaint, alleging that the group misled villagers with promises of substantial financial returns.
Reports indicate that the accused managed ‘The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited,’ enticing investors with claims of rapid returns on investments. After amassing significant funds, the organization reportedly shuttered its operations and vanished. Multiple FIRs have been recorded concerning this alleged misconduct.
Shreyas Talpade previously secured temporary protection from arrest by the Supreme Court in July. Both Talpade and Alok Nath had earlier been linked to a similar multi-level marketing fraud in Sonipat, Haryana, along with 11 co-defendants.
On a professional note, Shreyas Talpade is gearing up for the release of his romantic drama, Single Salma, featuring Huma Qureshi and Sunny Singh, which debuts on October 31. Alok Nath, renowned for his longstanding contribution to Bollywood, particularly in iconic roles like “Babuji,” continues to hold a special place in the industry.
