Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, engaged in a phone conversation with Sri Lanka's President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The Sri Lankan leader expressed gratitude for the UAE's unwavering support towards those impacted by the severe flooding and torrential rains in Sri Lanka. He conveyed deep appreciation for the swift action and aid provided by the UAE during this challenging period.

During their discussion, Sheikh Mohamed extended his heartfelt condolences to President Dissanayake and the citizens of Sri Lanka for the tragic loss of life due to the floods. He expressed sympathy to the families affected and wished for the nation’s safety, resilience, and swift recovery as it grapples with the aftermath of this disaster.

The UAE's response underlines its longstanding commitment to aiding countries facing humanitarian crises.
