Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, who gained wider recognition for his appearance in the Netflix series Jamtara 2, has died by suicide at the age of 25, leaving family, friends and colleagues devastated. The promising young performer, who had been promoting his forthcoming Marathi film Asurvan, was found hanging at his home in Parola in Jalgaon district.
Sources say Chandwade was discovered by relatives on October 23 and taken immediately to a nearby hospital. He was later moved to Dhule for further treatment, but medical staff pronounced him dead at about 1:30 AM on October 24. Parola police have logged the episode as an accidental death and an inquiry is underway to establish the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
