A Milwaukee Brewers fan, Shannon Kobylarczyk, has lost her job after threatening to “call ICE” on a Los Angeles Dodgers supporter during Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on October 14.
A video of the incident quickly spread on social media, showing Kobylarczyk confronting Dodgers fan Ricardo Fosado after a home run celebration.
Incident at the Ballpark
In the video, Kobylarczyk shouts, “Real men drink beer,” before turning to another spectator and saying, “Call ICE,” referencing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
Fosado, who is of Mexican heritage and a U.S. citizen, responded, “Call ICE. I’m a U.S. citizen. War veteran, baby girl. Two wars.” He added, “ICE is not gonna do nothing to me. Good luck.”
Kobylarczyk then appeared to swipe toward Fosado’s camera, and later reported him to stadium security. Fosado was subsequently escorted out of the ballpark.
Employer Responds
Following the viral backlash, Kobylarczyk’s employer, Manpower Group, confirmed she was no longer with the organization, stating that the company remains committed to maintaining a culture of “respect, integrity, and accountability.”
She also resigned from her role on the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin board of directors.
Dodgers Fan Reacts
Fosado later said that while alcohol may have influenced the altercation, he believes Kobylarczyk simply made a mistake.
“I don’t think it was horrible or something that should get her fired,” he said. “We can’t be judged on one mistake. It was just hurt feelings; nobody got physically hurt.”
