Malaysia Ready for Thomas and Uber Cup 2026 Challenge

Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and M. Thinaah are primed to lead their teams at the 2026 Thomas and Uber Cup Finals in Horsens, Denmark from April 24 to May 3, as confirmed by the Badminton Association of Malaysia.

Both athletes possess invaluable experience from previous tournaments, with officials anticipating that their leadership will be pivotal for Malaysia’s global competitiveness.

In the men’s Thomas Cup lineup, Lee Zii Jia is expected to play a key role in singles, supported by Leong Jun Hao, Justin Hoh, and Aidil Sholeh. Notably, the doubles team features strong combinations, including Aaron Chia paired with Soh Wooi Yik, as well as Man Wei Chong teaming up with Tee Kai Wun.

The men’s squad enters Group B, where they will face formidable competitors like Japan, England, and Finland, promising intense matches as they strive for advancement to the knockout stages.

On the women’s side, M. Thinaah will head the Uber Cup team in doubles, alongside Chong Jie Yu, Ong Xin Yee, and Carmen Ting. The singles roster features talents such as K Letshanaa, Wong Ling Ching, Siti Zulaikha Azmi, and Goh Jin Wei.

The Malaysian badminton contingent aims for a commendable showing in both tournaments, blending seasoned players with rising stars. It serves as a pivotal opportunity to display their strength against elite badminton nations.
