Kylie Jenner has opened up about a health challenge she has struggled with quietly for nearly three years. The beauty entrepreneur shared that she recently underwent stem cell therapy after battling intense chronic back pain since the birth of her son, Aire.
The 28-year-old posted a series of Instagram Stories on December 3, showing parts of her treatment journey. One photo displayed her resting in a hospital bed, while others showed bandages covering the lower part of her back following the procedure.
Kylie explained that the pain began after her second pregnancy and persisted despite trying numerous treatments. What gave her hope, she said, was learning about her sister Kim Kardashian’s positive experience with the same procedure.
“I’ve been dealing with bad chronic back pain for almost three years after my last pregnancy, and nothing helped,” Kylie wrote. Hearing how Kim found relief pushed her to explore stem cell therapy. She thanked Dr. Akhan and the Eterna Health team for their support and care.
Kylie also reminded her followers that every medical condition is unique, encouraging people to do thorough research and consult doctors before attempting any therapy. She said her purpose in sharing her journey was to help anyone facing similar pain or confusion.
Kylie, who shares her two children — Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3 — with ex-partner Travis Scott, also spoke about the emotional side of motherhood. On sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast last month, she said adjusting to motherhood at a young age was challenging.
She described struggling emotionally and needing nearly a year after both pregnancies to feel like herself again. Khloé acknowledged that Kylie was the only one among their inner circle to become a mom so young, noting how hard the adjustment can be.
After finally undergoing stem cell therapy, Kylie said the treatment marked a significant step forward. She’s hopeful, grateful, and ready to move ahead with improved quality of life.
Stem cell therapy involves using stem cells to repair damaged tissue in the body. These cells may be drawn from bone marrow, fat, or umbilical cord blood and injected into problem areas. The goal is to promote healing and reduce pain. Research is active in many fields, and the treatment shows potential for improving life quality in chronic conditions.
