Two 19-year-old men have been charged after a taxi driver was shot dead in North Battleford
Kiku Sharda, who has been a key part of Kapil Sharma’s comedy universe for years, recently spoke about a major change he has noticed in Kapil’s work ethic. Known for his popular character Bumper Lottery, Kiku said that Kapil is now extremely punctual on set—a drastic shift from the past.
In a podcast conversation, Kiku mentioned that the entire team now arrives on time, including Kapil Sharma himself. He said that people used to claim Kapil was often late, but that version of him no longer exists. The comedian added that even being late by fifteen minutes makes him uneasy these days because the production functions on a tight schedule.
This discussion brought back memories of a famous light-hearted moment when Amitabh Bachchan once teased Kapil about late arrivals, joking that even when called at noon, Kapil would show up around 4:30 PM. Kapil had taken the joke sportingly, but Kiku’s comments reveal how much has changed since then.
Kiku Sharda also addressed recent rumours suggesting he was planning to leave The Great Indian Kapil Show. Speculation intensified after he participated in the reality series Rise & Fall. He explained that he was isolated during the shooting of the show and had no idea that rumours about him quitting were circulating outside.
After his eviction from the reality show, he discovered that the news had spread widely. Kiku clarified that there was no truth to it. He said he has been working with Kapil Sharma for over 13 years and continues to cherish the bond they share. Over the years, he has refused multiple projects just to remain part of the team because he loves the show and the people involved.
He assured fans that he has no plans to leave and that he will continue working on the show for as long as it runs. According to Kiku, the show’s success has always been a combined effort by all its comedians and performers, and he remains committed to contributing to it.
