“Though these scenes require meticulous planning, very few co-actors make you feel entirely at ease. Gulshan was one of them. He brought multiple pillows from his vanity—small, fluffy, and sturdy—to ensure I was comfortable. During filming, he checked in with me at least 16 or 17 times, asking, ‘Are you okay?’”

Additionally, she remarked,

“He offered, 'If you want to stop at any time, I’m totally okay with it.' His level of care truly moved me. For many, this could be a challenging situation, but Gulshan made me feel completely relaxed. It’s remarkable how he is.”

Importance of Intimacy Coordinators on Set

Girija further stated the necessity of having intimacy coordinators on set, as they foster transparency and comfort for the actors. She mentioned that thorough discussions occur before filming, ensuring that everyone is informed and boundaries are respected.

“This arrangement allows a comfortable setting, where intimacy coordinators always play a role. Detailed conversations happen earlier, providing clarity for the actors involved in the scene,” she noted.

Nonetheless, she acknowledged that challenges can arise once the cameras are rolling.

“Once filming starts, sometimes you find yourself torn between stopping or continuing, questioning whether a moment feels right or not. It’s a complex situation,” she added.
