Elon Musk Cancels Netflix After Creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park Mocked Charlie Kirk

Billionaire Elon Musk has cancelled his Netflix subscription after Hamish Steele, creator of the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park, allegedly mocked the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Musk’s decision came after viral screenshots of Steele’s comments circulated on social media.

Series Under Scrutiny for Content

Steele’s show, aimed at children, has faced criticism for including transgender themes. The controversy escalated when screenshots purportedly showed Steele calling Kirk a “Nazi” in a reply to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s statement on the killing. According to the screenshots, Steele wrote:

"Your sympathy for any of the families being slaughtered by your own weapons, but a random Nazi gets shot and it's a public statement."

Social Media Reaction

An X user shared that they had cancelled Netflix due to Steele’s alleged comments and the show’s content for children. Musk reshared the post, adding, "Same." He also shared another post criticizing the inclusion of transgender themes in the show, stating, "This is not ok." Musk’s posts prompted other users to announce similar cancellations.

Details on Charlie Kirk’s Death

Charlie Kirk, a former aide and loyalist of former President Donald Trump, was shot in the neck during a public event at Utah Valley University on September 10. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, but later died from his injuries.

Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested in connection with the killing. He faces aggravated murder charges and the death penalty. His next court hearing is scheduled for October 30.

Netflix has not released an official statement regarding the cancellation wave or the controversy surrounding Steele’s series.
