Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, continues to impress at the box office. Launched during the Diwali festivities, the movie had a solid start, grossing more than ₹9 crore net on opening day.
Even with the presence of the horror-comedy Thamma, the film, directed by Milap Zaveri, showcased resilience on Wednesday, collecting ₹7.50 crore net, marking a mere 16.6% drop after the festival. In total, it has now accumulated ₹16.50 crore net within two days, aiming to surpass ₹50 crore by the conclusion of its six-day opening weekend—an outstanding achievement for a low-budget film without prominent stars.
Milap Zaveri helms Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, featuring lead performances by Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, alongside supporting roles from Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.
The film’s marketing approach was innovative and direct. Harshvardhan Rane personally interacted with the audience by selling tickets at the box office, distributing stickers, and actively encouraging cinema attendance across Mumbai.
With its consistent performance post-Diwali and favorable audience feedback, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is positioned for a robust box office run, demonstrating that narratives combined with effective marketing and timing can yield success, even without high-profile casts.
