Dylan Efron Dazzles DWTS with Heartfelt Tribute to Sister Olivia

Reality star and content creator Dylan Efron lit up Dancing With the Stars’ Season 34 Dedication Night with a contemporary routine dedicated to his youngest sister, Olivia, while subtly paying tribute to his older brother, Zac Efron.

Dylan partnered with professional dancer Daniella Karagach, performing to “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman, originally sung by Zac Efron and Zendaya.

A Heartfelt Dedication

In a pre-performance video, Dylan reflected on his bond with Olivia, who is just five years old. He said, “I wasn't expecting to be a big brother. She's 5, and I'm 33. But immediately, I was inseparable from her. She's everything to me. I want to show her how to live her life with confidence.”

He also paid homage to Zac, 37, explaining that his older brother had always supported him selflessly: “He did things that were so selfless, I want to be that to Olivia.”

Olivia joined Dylan during rehearsals and shared her excitement: “I just like being with Dylan, he's my best friend, and I just feel like I'm free with him.”

The Performance

The dance began with Dylan twirling Olivia toward the center of the ballroom, lifting her in a dramatic display of grace and strength. Dylan and Daniella then launched into an athletic, high-energy routine while Olivia cheered from the sidelines. As the performance concluded, Olivia returned to embrace her brother amid thunderous applause.

Judge Bruno Tonioli praised the routine, declaring, “The next greatest showman! And little Olivia, prima ballerina! Fantastic number.”

Carrie Ann Inaba added, “I felt that story to the bottom of my soul… The hope and love you feel for her is infused in every step of this dance.”

Derek Hough quipped, “Dylan, I hate you. You're a great guy, you're in shape, you can dance, and you're a great brother? Come on, man!” He also noted Dylan’s rapid improvement since week one, saying, “The way you came down that floor on that first pass, I was like, 'My guy is a dancer!'”

Dylan first announced Olivia’s participation on Instagram, sharing a rehearsal photo with the caption: “Please welcome the newest member of Team DaDy, my lil sister Olivia. She's quickly become 2nd second-best dancer on the team and by far the cutest.”

Dedication Night Highlights

Season 34’s Dedication Night featured contestants performing with loved ones. Earlier, Robert Irwin moved audiences to tears with a dance dedicated to his mother, Terri Irwin, earning a season-high score of 35. Dylan and Daniella topped that with a score of 36, receiving 9s from all four judges.

Olivia is the first child of David Efron’s second marriage to Jenny Efron. Born on Christmas Day 2019, she is 32 years younger than Zac and 27 years younger than Dylan.
