Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan Explores Educational Advancements in Dubai

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, recently visited the Al Khawaneej campus of Dubai Schools. His visit aimed to assess the initiatives underway to position Dubai as a center for educational excellence and to review the strategic plans set forth by the Knowledge Fund Establishment. During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan observed students engaged in their lessons, underlining the central role that individuals play in Dubai's innovative educational framework. His Highness reiterated that the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasizes education and human development as fundamental components of the emirate's progress.

In his address, Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that Dubai's educational landscape is focused on cultivating future leaders and innovators, embedding national values, and equipping students for global challenges. He highlighted the critical role of partnerships between the public and private sectors in fostering human capital and advancing a knowledge-based economy. The Crown Prince was joined by notable officials from the Executive Council and Knowledge Fund Establishment, such as Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti and Ahmad AbdulKarim Julfar.

Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, shared insights on enhancing the educational framework in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Education Strategy 2033. He noted that Dubai Schools currently operate in Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej, and Al Barsha, providing top-tier education while instilling national values and future-ready skills. The investment in education has surged from AED 62 million in 2021 to AED 1 billion projected for 2025, with an anticipated growth to AED 4 billion by 2033. Student enrollment has risen from 1,200 to 4,515, with expectations aiming for 15,000 by 2033, and a remarkable 99 percent re-enrollment rate demonstrates high levels of parent satisfaction and institutional quality.

Dubai Schools exemplifies effective collaboration between public and private entities, with numerous local firms contributing to tuition sponsorships and promoting access to quality education across diverse community groups. Partners include Dubai Islamic Bank, DAMAC, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emaar, DP World, and Dubai Duty Free, among others. Initiated by Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai Schools serve as a cornerstone of the emirate’s educational framework, merging academic excellence with national identity and innovation to strengthen Dubai's standing as a global hub for knowledge and creativity.
