Aditya Dhar’s high-voltage spy thriller Dhurandhar is continuing its impressive run in theatres, even though it saw a slight dip in collections on its third Friday. While the film registered its lowest single-day earnings so far, the overall figures remain extremely strong, reflecting its solid hold at the box office.
On Day 15, the film earned ₹22.50 crore net in India, while its global gross for the day was close to ₹35 crore. These numbers underline the sustained audience interest as the film moves into its third weekend with confidence.
After wrapping up two highly successful weeks, the Ranveer Singh-led film has now collected ₹483 crore net at the domestic box office, which roughly translates to ₹579.50 crore gross in India. With weekend footfalls expected to rise, the film is poised to cross the ₹500 crore net milestone, an achievement attained by only a handful of Hindi films.
Industry observers note that the film’s steady weekday performance is a clear sign of strong word-of-mouth and repeat audiences, cutting across both multiplexes and mass cinema halls.
Overseas as well, Dhurandhar continues to maintain its momentum despite facing fresh competition from the Hollywood spectacle Avatar: Fire and Ash. The film’s international earnings have now gone past $18 million, making a significant contribution to its overall earnings.
As a result, Dhurandhar’s worldwide box office collection has reached approximately ₹745 crore, placing it just a short distance away from the ₹800 crore global mark. A strong surge over the weekend could see the film hit this milestone as early as its 16th day in theatres.
With its latest numbers, Dhurandhar has secured a place among the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films of all time, surpassing several major blockbusters. Trade analysts believe that films such as PK, Chhaava, and Stree 2 are likely to be overtaken soon if the current pace continues.
Given its consistent performance, the film is also being widely viewed as a serious contender for the ₹1000 crore worldwide club, potentially ranking it among the biggest global successes ever produced by Indian cinema.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a slick spy thriller that features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian intelligence operative carrying out a dangerous undercover mission. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, whose performances have received strong appreciation from audiences.
