The highly anticipated sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Cocktail is stirring excitement, particularly thanks to its fresh trio of stars: Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.
Recently, the cast completed their shooting sessions in Italy, and behind-the-scenes reports indicate that the trio enjoyed their time together immensely.
Rashmika Mandanna shared her enthusiastic sentiments about collaborating with her co-stars, stating, “I adore Kriti and Shahid. Together, we form the best gang! Working with Homi sir (Homi Adajania) has been a joy as well. It’s a wonderful experience to be among such talented people, and I can’t wait to head back to Delhi for more filming.”
The actress also remarked on her positives experiences during filming, hopeful that the audience will share the same vibrant energy on screen. “Every time I get to act alongside Kriti or Shahid, I’m genuinely having fun. I truly hope when the film hits theatres, you’ll feel this joy as well and enjoy it just as much,” she added with a cheerful grin.
Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 follows the legacy of the acclaimed original from 2012, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The first film was praised for its contemporary depiction of love, friendship, and interpersonal dynamics.
On another note, Rashmika is basking in the success of her latest release, Thamma. Co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, it has performed remarkably well at the box office, crossing the ₹50 crore milestone. Thamma, produced under the Maddock Films umbrella, is the fifth entry in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, following Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.
The storyline of Thamma revolves around Ayushmann’s character, who transforms into a vampire and falls for Rashmika’s character, resulting in a “bloody love story” full of surprises and entertaining antics.
