Government Boosts Digital Health Innovation In Canada

The Government of Canada has announced a new investment to strengthen digital health innovation and support business growth in the country. The funding, worth over $815,000, was announced by Mona Fortier on behalf of Evan Solomon, Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation. The investment will support the expansion of the Montfort Innovation Lab in Ottawa.

The funding will be provided to Institut du Savoir Montfort to enhance its ability to help businesses develop and test new digital health technologies. Through this initiative, up to 20 companies will gain access to expert guidance, clinical environments, and research support. This will help them validate their ideas and bring innovative healthcare solutions to market more quickly.

The Montfort Innovation Lab plays an important role in connecting businesses with healthcare professionals and researchers. By offering real-world testing environments and direct collaboration with clinicians, the lab helps ensure that new technologies are practical, effective, and ready for use in the healthcare system.
