Rosé and Bruno Mars continued their unstoppable global run in 2025 as their blockbuster collaboration “APT.” secured the No. 1 spot on Apple Music’s Global Song Chart. The streaming giant released its year-end data on Tuesday, confirming that the hit track, which first exploded in 2024, never lost momentum. This marks the first year-end global No. 1 for both artists.
Right behind them, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s critically acclaimed collaboration “Luther” landed in second place. Bruno Mars appeared again in third for his emotional duet with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile.” Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which topped the chart in 2024, returned to claim the fourth position. Billie Eilish followed in fifth place with her widely loved track “Birds of a Feather.”
Lamar’s album “GNX” made a significant impact this year, keeping listeners hooked across the world. Five songs from the album secured spots within the global chart’s Top 25, solidifying Lamar’s influence over the year’s music trends.
Out of the 100 songs featured on Apple Music’s list, 36 were by women—slightly fewer than last year’s record 39. However, seven of the Top 10 songs were either performed by or featured women, more than doubling last year’s representation.
“APT.” dominated several of Apple Music’s additional year-end lists as well. It claimed the top rank on the Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, the Top 100: Global Radio chart, and the platform’s most-read lyrics chart. Apple Music’s co-head Rachel Newman praised its worldwide reach, stating that its success reminded listeners that powerful music easily transcends borders.
Along with the global chart, Apple released the latest version of Replay—its answer to Spotify’s Wrapped. Replay offers fans insights into their listening habits throughout the year, highlighting new artists discovered, long-term favorites, returning artists, total minutes listened, number of artists played, streaks, and favorite genres. Musicians themselves will also receive analytics reflecting their audience growth and performance over the year.
Last month, Apple Music honored Tyler, the Creator as its Artist of the Year. Following the release of his praised album “Chromakopia,” Tyler accumulated 4.5 billion minutes of listening time between November 2024 and October 2025. Apple Music’s global creative director Zane Lowe applauded his bold creativity, saying that Tyler continues to inspire fans and peers alike and will remain influential for generations.
