In a momentous occasion for the social services sector, 49 newly licensed social professionals in Dubai have pledged their commitment by taking an official oath after successfully completing their licensing requirements.
The event unfolded at Al Khawaneej Majlis with Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA), in attendance. This oath symbolizes these professionals' dedication to providing ethical, responsible, and high-standard social services that align with global practices.
This achievement underscores the ongoing work of the Community Development Authority to forge a robust and skilled social work framework. The initiative aims to amplify professional expertise, improve operational efficiency, and ensure services are effectively addressing the needs of various community groups amidst evolving social and economic conditions.
During the ceremony, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid remarked that this event significantly bolsters Dubai’s status as a leader in community development. She affirmed the authority’s commitment to cultivating skilled professionals equipped to deliver comprehensive and impactful services throughout society.
She also emphasized that investing in training and licensing for social professionals is crucial for enhancing social resilience and fostering sustainable communities. The CDA is dedicated to providing these professionals with modern tools and knowledge to create innovative, preventive, and empowerment-focused solutions.
With this new group, the total number of licensed social professionals in Dubai now stands at 1,109, since the introduction of the program. The licensing framework now encompasses 196 government entities and 864 public sector institutions, showcasing significant involvement from national talent.
This initiative closely aligns with the goals of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which emphasizes enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for all citizens and residents. By elevating professional standards and governance, the CDA persists in reinforcing social stability, supporting families, and promoting sustainable development throughout the emirate.
