UAE Riders Aim for New Glory at Endurance World Championship in Romania

The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation has announced that UAE riders will compete in the FEI World Endurance Championship for Juniors and Young Riders in Romania on September 20, 2025. This championship covers a distance of 120 kilometers and offers UAE riders a new opportunity to build on their global successes.

Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Federation, said that UAE riders have already achieved remarkable results in past championships. Over the years, UAE athletes have won the individual title seven times and the team title twice. These achievements motivate the riders to aim for even more success in Romania.

Dr. Al Raisi highlighted that the UAE team’s previous victory in Castelsagrat, France, in September 2023, where they retained the world title, serves as a strong source of motivation. UAE riders now aim to win an eighth individual title, which would be their fifth in a row, and a third team title, further strengthening the UAE’s reputation on the international stage.

He also expressed his gratitude to the UAE leadership for supporting the nation’s athletes, enabling them to develop the skills and abilities needed to compete at the highest level. According to Dr. Al Raisi, this support allows UAE riders to proudly represent the country and raise its flag on global podiums.

The President also praised the efforts of Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club. Sheikh Rashid ensures that UAE riders have access to everything they need to perform at their best. This support has led to recent major achievements, including gold medals in both the team and individual categories at the World Endurance Championship for Young Horses in France.

Dr. Al Raisi also emphasized the hard work of stables and technical staff who prepare UAE riders and their horses for international competitions. Their preparation aims to ensure that the riders compete with strong determination and have the best chance to reach the winners’ podium in Romania.
