Thai Helps Thai Plus Achieves 26 Million Sign-Ups

Thailand’s premier economic initiative, Thai Helps Thai Plus (60/40), has concluded its registration phase, amassing over 26 million participants within a span of just five days. This remarkable turnout underscores the public's enthusiasm for government-led efforts intended to alleviate living expenses and stimulate economic activity nationwide.

As per data released by the Prime Minister’s Office, the registration system officially shut down on May 29, 2026, recording a total of 26.04 million citizens enrolled. Officials noted that the widespread interest reflects households' readiness to leverage financial assistance aimed at mitigating economic challenges and enhancing consumer spending.

Although public registration has wrapped up, the government has announced that businesses can still enroll in the initiative until July 31, 2026. Newly registered merchants will be eligible to start receiving program benefits from June 1 onward, thereby expanding the number of participating businesses across the nation.

Merchants already involved in the Co-Pay Plus program will gain immediate access to the updated program conditions via the “Tung Ngern” application. Officials believe this swift transition will enable businesses to capitalize on the increased consumer engagement fostered by the initiative.

In tandem with direct financial assistance, the Ministry of Finance is set to unveil a new digital tool called “Whispering Bird,” an AI-driven assistant integrated into the “Money Bag” application. This system is aimed at providing entrepreneurs and small business owners with valuable business insights and digital solutions.

The AI assistant's features will assist merchants in analyzing sales trends, managing stock levels, assessing financial stability, and refining business strategies. Authorities assert that this technology will empower entrepreneurs to make better-informed decisions while enhancing their chances for formal funding and credit options in the future.

Government officials highlighted that these new digital resources mark a significant advancement in bolstering Thailand’s small and medium-sized enterprise landscape. By merging financial support with tech-based business development aids, authorities aim to foster a more resilient grassroots economy and promote sustainable growth for local enterprises in the coming years.
