Homicide investigators have launched an investigation following the death of a man in Surrey, British Columbia. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) confirmed that the victim has been identified as Zachery Rider, a 45-year-old man from the Lower Mainland.
According to investigators, police responded to reports of an unresponsive man on Saturday morning at around 11:15 a.m. The incident occurred in the 9800 block of Foxglove Drive in Surrey. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Rider injured and not responding.
Emergency responders immediately attempted life-saving measures, but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released details about the cause of death, as the investigation is still in its early stages.
