Spencer Lofranco, renowned for his portrayal alongside John Travolta in the 2018 film Gotti, has tragically died at the young age of 33. The news was confirmed by his brother, Santino Lofranco, via Instagram on November 20, revealing that Spencer passed away on November 18.

Santino shared heartfelt sentiments in his post: “To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people’s lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you, Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.” The post was accompanied by photos capturing Spencer's journey from childhood to recent moments.

A product of Toronto, Spencer participated in seven films between 2013 and 2018. His standout performances included roles in Angelina Jolie’s 2014 war drama Unbroken and as John Travolta’s son in Gotti, which depicts the life of famed New York mobster John Gotti. His filmography also includes At Middleton (2013), Jamesy Boy (2014), Dixieland (2015), Home (2015), and King Cobra (2016).

Reports indicate that the circumstances surrounding Spencer’s death are currently under investigation in British Columbia, Canada.

In a revelation during a 2014 interview, Spencer expressed his decision to step into acting at 17 years old, despite his father's aspirations for him towards hockey or law. He pursued a year of study at the New York Film Academy before embarking on his film career. He once shared his enthusiasm about working alongside Angelina Jolie in Unbroken, exclaiming, “Growing up, Angelina Jolie was my dream girl. Now I’m going to shoot a movie with her. It’s crazy.”

The loss of Spencer Lofranco signifies the early end of a promising career that had already made an impact in the film industry.
