Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Engages with Chinese Business Executives

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, conducted important meetings with prominent chairmen and executives from leading Chinese firms, aimed at enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and China.

The talks centered on boosting economic ties and identifying new avenues for sustainable growth across vital sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, biopharmaceuticals, cutting-edge technology, renewable resources, and electronics.

In a meeting with Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), both parties discussed measures to improve collaboration within the energy domain. Topics of interest included innovative clean energy approaches, reinforcing supply chains, and promoting energy security at both regional and global levels.

Separately, during discussions with Liao Zengtai, Chairman of Wanhua Chemical Group, the focus was on enhancing partnerships in manufacturing. They emphasized the importance of utilizing advanced technologies to boost operational efficacy and endorse sustainability in industry practices.

The Crown Prince also had discussions with Eric Tse, CEO of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited, regarding potential partnerships in the biopharmaceutical field. The talks underscored opportunities in R&D, including the integration of AI and cutting-edge scientific solutions to bolster healthcare systems and pharmaceutical safety globally and regionally.

Furthermore, His Highness engaged with Robin Zeng Yuqun, the Founder and CEO of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a frontrunner in lithium-ion battery technology. Their discussions revolved around improving energy efficiency, fostering knowledge transfer in battery production, supporting smart mobility initiatives, and advancing Net Zero aspirations.

These interactions underscore the UAE's ongoing commitment to fortifying its strategic alliance with China, spurring innovation, and nurturing sustainable economic development across essential global industries.
