Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan convened with a delegation from the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), directed by Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, to evaluate the recent advancements in Emiratisation and talent development efforts in the Al Ain Region.

During the discussions, Sheikh Hazza examined the milestones achieved by DGE's Mawaheb Talent Hub in Al Ain, which is dedicated to qualifying and empowering UAE Nationals by enhancing their skills and elevating their engagement in the workforce through collaborations with both public and private sector entities.

The forum revisited outcomes from the earlier initiative, “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain,” held in October 2025, which strives to foster job opportunities for Emiratis in alignment with their skills and aspirations while addressing regional employment needs.

Sheikh Hazza assessed the latest phases of pivotal employment and talent initiatives, focusing on preparing Emirati youth for emerging job openings. He commended DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub's role in aiding citizens to navigate the evolving workforce landscape.

He underscored that Emiratisation remains a fundamental priority as envisioned by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the essential role of national talent in enhancing both public and private sectors to achieve a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation.

Furthermore, Sheikh Hazza pointed to the necessity of concentrating on skills pertinent to advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation, asserting their significance in enhancing the readiness of Emirati talent and bolstering the UAE's competitiveness on a global scale.

To foster better community engagement, DGE officials announced the organization of 14 open days across Al Ain, including areas like Al Shiwayb and Al Qua’a, to enhance communications with Emirati job seekers while assisting recruitment in various sectors.

The delegation has also indicated that preparations are in progress for the upcoming second “Empowering National Talents in Al Ain” forum, anticipated to take place in the last quarter of this year.

The 2025 forum led to the signing of 17 memoranda of understanding between DGE, represented by Mawaheb Talent Hub, and various government, semi-government, and private organizations, focusing on generating job opportunities in banking, finance, education, emerging technologies, and customer service fields.

These agreements included specialized training and qualification programs aimed at fostering sustainable employment and reinforcing collaboration between public and private sectors within Al Ain.

The meeting also saw attendance from Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials from DGE and Mawaheb Talent Hub.
