Chairing the latest meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) at the Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi welcomed attendees including Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Council's Vice Chairmen.
The meeting commenced with heartfelt Eid Al Adha greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, and all esteemed leaders, alongside citizens and Muslims globally. The Council expressed prayers for peace, prosperity, and blessings within the Arab and Islamic nations.
Key amendments to the Executive Council Resolution No. 29 of 2025 were approved concerning the regulation of healthcare professions and activities in the Emirate of Sharjah.
These updated regulations encompass both public healthcare institutions and private facilities, along with free zone medical establishments. They also cover all healthcare professionals operating within these frameworks.
The goal of these amendments is to bolster the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, ensure strict adherence to prevailing laws and regulations, and to enhance monitoring systems. Additionally, the changes involve administrative penalties for infractions aimed at curbing professional misconduct, safeguarding patient rights, and upholding high standards of safety in healthcare throughout the emirate.
Further reviewed during the meeting was a report on Sharjah’s general budget performance and outputs for the latter half of 2025. This report examined various sectors such as social development, public administration, infrastructure, capital projects, and economic advancement.
The SEC reiterated its commitment to support government entities in realizing their strategic objectives and endorsed development plans to enhance government functionality and public services.
The report also included comparisons between revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year 2025 compared to the preceding year, alongside achievement analytics of planned outputs across governmental departments.
Moreover, the Council deliberated on growth indicators in critical sectors, showcasing Sharjah’s sound financial strategies and optimal resource management that aim to foster sustainable development and advance community services.
