His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has called on all residents to take part in the upcoming ‘Sharjah Census 2025’. The census is a major initiative aimed at collecting detailed information about the city’s population to help the government make decisions that serve the people’s interests and improve their living conditions.

Sheikh Dr Sultan emphasized that every resident’s participation is important. He assured that all data submitted during the census would remain strictly confidential. “When residents provide their data, they are communicating directly with the Ruler of Sharjah,” he said, highlighting the personal importance of the census.

The ruler also warned that those who do not submit their information or miss the deadline will forfeit their rights. This reflects the significance of every resident’s contribution to shaping the future development of Sharjah.

The Sharjah Census 2025 will focus on collecting a wide range of data. Officials handling the project are expected to gather information on residents’ names, types of homes, quality of life, income levels, and specific needs of different areas. This data will help the government identify the solutions required to improve living conditions, expand public services, and plan future development projects.

Sheikh Dr Sultan highlighted the success of the previous census. He noted that it helped raise the minimum standard of living for families to AED 17,500. The data collected in the past also contributed to the expansion of new residential areas, the opening of additional facilities and attractions, and the creation of new job opportunities for people seeking employment.

The Sharjah Ruler’s call comes ahead of the official launch of the project on October 15, 2025, which will continue until December 31, 2025. Residents are encouraged to participate fully to ensure that the census results accurately reflect the needs and desires of the people of Sharjah.

This census is more than just a statistical exercise. It is a tool for planning the future of Sharjah, ensuring that government resources are directed where they are most needed. From housing to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities, the information gathered will play a key role in shaping policies that directly affect residents’ daily lives.

Experts say that a well-conducted census allows governments to make better decisions, plan for sustainable growth, and provide services efficiently. For example, data on income levels can help determine social support programs, while information about homes and neighborhoods can guide urban planning and infrastructure projects.

Residents are being reminded that their participation has real benefits. By submitting accurate information, they contribute to a city where the government can respond more effectively to the community’s needs, create new opportunities, and improve the overall quality of life.

The Sharjah Census 2025 also underscores the city’s commitment to modern governance and transparency. By inviting residents to actively participate, the government ensures that its policies are informed by accurate and comprehensive data, rather than assumptions.

In conclusion, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s message to the people of Sharjah is clear: participation in the census is not only a civic duty but also a vital step toward shaping a better, more prosperous future for the city. Residents are encouraged to cooperate fully to make the Sharjah Census 2025 a success, helping the government make informed decisions that benefit everyone.
