Actor Rajat Bedi, who recently drew attention with the success of *The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, has opened up about his experiences in the film industry and the unwavering support from his sister, Ila Bedi Dutta. Ila, a co-writer for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming film *Love & War*, reportedly put forth Rajat's name for a role in the production, featuring stars like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. Despite her efforts, the casting did not come to fruition.

Rajat mentioned that whenever Ila is involved in a film, she makes it a point to advocate for him. He stated, “My sister is exceptionally talented. She pitches my name to creators. I also have an older brother, Manik Bedi, who is involved in acting and producing. Being the youngest, she always has our best interests at heart. She even approached Sanjay sir, saying, ‘Consider my brother for a role.’ Whenever she writes, she actively seeks opportunities for me.”

In addition to familial encouragement, Rajat recounted the hurdles he's faced in securing roles in Bollywood. He confessed to making “cold calls” to directors, who acknowledged his work but failed to provide tangible opportunities down the line.

He remarked, “For the past 10-15 years, I’ve been making efforts to stage a comeback, but it eludes me. I hope for some significant opportunities that allow me to showcase my true talent. My family and I are thankful for the appreciation I’ve received for my work.”

Rajat’s insights shed light on the obstacles actors frequently encounter in an unpredictable film landscape, where sheer talent and dedication don't always lead to immediate results. His narrative underscores the crucial role family support plays in maneuvering through Bollywood’s competitive arena.
