Actor Rajat Bedi, known for his role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood, has candidly shared how personal challenges and career setbacks have significantly influenced his growth as an actor.
In an exclusive conversation, Bedi recounted the several trials he faced in the entertainment industry, including lost roles and missed chances. Notably, he mentioned his experience with the film Radhe, starring Salman Khan.
Salman Khan’s Kindness Made an Impact
Rajat recounted a pivotal moment when he received a call from Salman Khan’s team regarding a role in Radhe. However, upon meeting Bedi on set, Salman told him, “You are not going to do it. I will give you something better.” Bedi expressed appreciation for this decision, believing it saved him from taking on a role that didn’t suit him.
“This gesture really moved me. It showed me that sometimes obstacles can turn into blessings,” Bedi shared.
Challenges During the Pandemic and New Beginnings
Bedi also discussed the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the film sector, noting that it delayed many opportunities. He remarked, “When the pandemic struck, it was a tough time, but Aryan's offer came in December 2022. That marked the start of a new chapter for me.” He acknowledged how grappling with these hardships made him a more resilient actor.

The actor highlighted that his life’s challenges have honed his acting abilities. “I’ve endured numerous trials throughout my career and those experiences have definitely enriched my performance skills. The pain and challenges I’ve faced are woven into my work in this project,” he explained.
