Celebrated musician Raghu Dixit has recently married his partner, Varijashree Venugopal, a distinguished flutist, singer, and music educator, in a cherished ceremony. The couple exchanged vows on October 14, 2025, surrounded by close family and friends, with many joyful photos from the nuptials circulating across social media.
On October 25, Raghu shared a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring his new wife, stating, “To Joy and Togetherness! Grateful to embark on this new adventure with the blessings of our families and dear ones. Love and Light Vari & Ragh.”
Their journey began as a friendship before blossoming into a romantic relationship, with shared passions deeply bonding them as they embraced the commitment of marriage.
The ceremony was attended by various celebrities, including actress Yamuna Srinidhi, who posted glimpses of the joyous event online. Raghu looked charming in a yellow-toned vesthi with maroon accents, while Varijashree radiated elegance in an orange saree complemented by a blue blouse and traditional wedding jewels. Earlier in February 2025, Raghu celebrated Varijashree’s Grammy nomination through a social media tribute, at that time emphasizing their friendship and the pride he felt in their connection.
Previously, Raghu was married to choreographer Mayuri Upadhyay in 2005, but the couple separated in 2016, finalizing their divorce in 2019. The reasons behind their separation were kept private; Raghu noted the difficulties he faced in being a good husband, despite Mayuri’s unwavering support.
During this challenging period, Raghu faced allegations of sexual harassment from Chinmayi Sripada, but Mayuri clarified that this issue did not contribute to their marital troubles and called for accountability. Raghu had publicly stated, “I am divorcing my wife. We have not been residing together for three years, and we are nearing the conclusion of the divorce process. She’s a good wife, and I couldn’t fulfill that role adequately.”
