Preity Zinta Expresses Gratitude Following Punjab Kings' IPL 2026 Playoff Near Miss

Co-owner and actress Preity Zinta conveyed her appreciation to fans after Punjab Kings narrowly missed their IPL 2026 playoff opportunity.

Finishing fifth in the points table with 15 points, the team fell just one point short of the playoff berth, after high hopes following their runners-up position last year.

The Punjab Kings kicked off the season with a strong performance, scoring six consecutive victories and quickly rising to the top of the tournament standings.

However, the latter half of the season proved challenging as victories became elusive. Despite their determination, the Punjab Kings ultimately could not secure a top-four finish, officially ending their playoff aspirations after the final matches.

After the team’s exit, Preity Zinta took to X to express her heartfelt thanks to fans for their unwavering support throughout the ups and downs of IPL 2026.

In her message, she stated, “A huge thank you to all our PBKS supporters for being there through this thrilling ride of IPL 2026. Every moment of joy and struggle felt richer with your love. Until we meet again, sending all my love and best wishes.”

Throughout the season, Preity maintained a positive outlook and encouraged both players and supporters, even after tough losses. After the team’s initial defeat that ended their winning streak, she reminded fans that many matches remained.

In another note, the IPL 2026 playoffs lineup was finalized when Rajasthan Royals clinched the fourth playoff spot with a win against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium.

Additionally, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured their spot in the IPL 2026 final by triumphing over Gujarat Titans by 92 runs in Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
