Pakistan airstrikes Afghanistan overnight, hitting several areas including the Afghan capital Kabul and provinces near the border. According to Afghan officials, at least four people were killed and 15 others were injured in the attack.

A Pakistani security official confirmed that the strikes were carried out late at night. The official said the operation targeted the Pakistani Taliban group, known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Homes Hit In Kabul

Khalil Zadran, a spokesman for Kabul police, said the bombardment hit residential houses in the capital city. The explosions caused damage to homes and left several people injured.

Local authorities reported that four civilians died and 15 people were wounded in the attack.

Strikes Reported In Several Provinces

According to Afghan officials, the Pakistan airstrikes Afghanistan also hit other regions.

Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the strikes targeted:

  • Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan

  • Paktia province near the Pakistan border

  • Paktika province, also close to the border

Kandahar is important because it is the home province of the Taliban administration’s supreme leader.

Pakistan Denies Killing Civilians

Pakistan says the military action was aimed only at militants and not civilians.

Officials insist the Pakistan airstrikes Afghanistan were carried out to stop attacks by the TTP, which Pakistan says operates from Afghan territory.

However, the Taliban government has denied these claims and said Afghan land is not being used for militancy.

Border Clashes Increase Tension

In recent weeks, Afghan and Pakistani forces have also clashed several times along the border. These clashes have disrupted trade and forced many residents living near the border to leave their homes.

Thousands Forced To Leave Homes

Reports say that about 115,000 people have been forced to leave their homes because of the fighting and rising tensions in the region.

The situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border remains tense as both sides continue to blame each other for the conflict.
