A movie theatre in Oakville, Ontario, has pulled several screenings of Indian films following two attacks in the past week. The incidents involved showings of South Asian movies, including Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 and Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG.

The first attack occurred on September 25 at around 5:20 a.m., when two suspects carrying red jerrycans poured flammable liquid at the theatre’s entrance and ignited it. Authorities believe both attacks were targeted and are urging anyone with information to come forward. While some sources suggest possible links to Khalistani extremists in the area, police have not confirmed a motive. Previous threats against a local temple were reported, but no direct connection has been established.

While we do not wish to bow to threats, the situation has escalated to the point where we must take every precaution to protect our community."
