Samsung has released the third beta update of One UI 8.5, based on Android 16, for its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The update is currently being rolled out in South Korea and is expected to expand to other regions soon.

The new beta version focuses on improving system stability and fixing several issues reported by users in earlier builds. The update carries firmware versions ending in ZZD3 and includes a total of six bug fixes aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.

Among the key fixes, Samsung has addressed a problem where the lock screen weather AI background would turn black when switching the screen on or off. It has also resolved issues with the phone and call screen interface shifting incorrectly, as well as a glitch where the top status bar failed to disappear during full-screen activities like video playback and gaming.

Additional improvements include fixing a missing send button when sharing links via text messages and correcting a bug where images failed to display after being set on the cover screen. The update also resolves a camera-related issue that caused the app to fail when launched.

The rollout is limited to users who are part of the One UI 8.5 beta testing program. Eligible users can download the update by navigating to the software update section in their device settings.

Samsung is expected to continue refining the software with further updates before the stable version is released. The company’s ongoing beta program highlights its effort to improve performance and reliability for its foldable devices ahead of a wider global rollout.
