JOOD Declares AED 63 Million Contributions for Q1 2026 in Dubai

The Dubai Community Contributions Establishment, known as JOOD, has unveiled impressive results for the first quarter of 2026, reflecting a robust increase in community involvement and charitable giving within Dubai.

In Q1 2026, JOOD amassed over AED 63 million through more than 1,500 contributions and in excess of 30 community initiatives. This accomplishment marks a significant rise in user engagement and digital connectivity, underscoring the public's growing confidence in JOOD's transparency and effectiveness as a charitable platform.

The organization has broadened its focus across essential areas such as healthcare, housing, and social development, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life and community welfare in Dubai.

Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA) and Chair of JOOD’s Board of Trustees, stated that these results signify the evolution of Dubai’s philanthropic landscape and the increasing trust in organized charitable activities.

She emphasized that the surge in contributions showcases a growing recognition of structured philanthropy’s role in sustainable social development. JOOD remains committed to enhancing its digital infrastructure and partnerships, making giving easier, more impactful, and better aligned with community needs.

Additionally, she remarked that JOOD is positioning Dubai as a pioneering model in global sustainable community development and effective philanthropy.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai and Vice Chair of JOOD’s Board of Trustees, indicated that this “Year of Family” will focus on initiatives that foster giving, community solidarity, and social harmony.

JOOD CEO His Excellency Marwan Rashid bin Hashim expressed that the organization will persist in enhancing Dubai’s philanthropic framework in collaboration with both public and private partners. He mentioned the goal of expanding innovative initiatives and boosting private sector involvement for sustainable impact.

Looking forward, JOOD plans to convene its second Board of Trustees meeting in Q2 2026 to evaluate its achievements from Q1 and outline future goals. The platform will also organize a specialized workshop on philanthropy, engaging over 50 leaders from both government and private sectors, aimed at fostering dialogue and enhancing sustainable giving practices within Dubai.
