Bigg Boss 11 finalist Hina Khan expressed gratitude toward Bigg Boss 19 host Salman Khan for addressing the body-shaming faced by contestant Ashnoor Kaur during the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
In a heartfelt social media post, Hina wrote that she had been waiting for Salman’s intervention before reacting publicly. She said,
"I knew this week justice would be served by Salman Khan. Thank you, Salman, for picking this up and handling this sensitive issue with utmost grace and empathy."
Hina praised Ashnoor, who is 21, for handling the situation with maturity despite being repeatedly shamed on national television by other contestants.
"I am beyond proud of Ashnoor for dealing with the whole thing with so much poise, sensibility, and clarity. She could have made a big issue out of it, but chose not to seek sympathy or attention. That speaks for her values and upbringing," Hina wrote.
The actress also highlighted how appearance and health are often affected by genetics and not always linked to lifestyle choices.
"Women especially endure greater health issues because of hormonal imbalances – from fatigue and mood swings to weight fluctuations, thyroid issues, and more. We can’t change our genetics, and we should be sensitive to what others may be going through."
Hina and Ashnoor, who shared the screen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as mother and daughter, have maintained a strong bond since their time on the show. Hina has consistently voiced her support for Ashnoor during her stint on Bigg Boss 19.
