UAE Enhances Global Defence Partnerships at FIDAE 2026

Santiago, Chile: The International Air, Space, Defence and Security Exhibition (FIDAE 2026) was officially opened by Chilean President José Antonio Kast in Santiago, marking a significant event in Latin America's aerospace and defence calendar.

Taking place every two years at Pudahuel Air Base, FIDAE serves as a crucial venue for global players in aviation, defence, and security, facilitating international collaboration and technological innovation.

During the event, President Kast visited several national displays, including the UAE's EDGE Group. He commended the UAE for its impressive showcase of cutting-edge technology and defence solutions.

UAE Ambassador to Chile, Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, referred to the participation as a vital strategic advancement. He highlighted the UAE's commitment to forming strong global partnerships in innovative technology to enhance security worldwide.

Al Neyadi pointed out that EDGE Group’s entry into South America reflects the rising international confidence in the UAE's defence sector. He indicated that the focus is on crafting integrated, future-ready solutions to meet the evolving global challenges.

In discussing bilateral relations, the ambassador noted that UAE-Chile ties are strengthening, with an emphasis on growing cooperation in economic, technical, and investment domains. He recognized Chile as a vital partner in Latin America, due to its dynamic economy and innovative capabilities.

He highlighted the need for global collaboration, stating that the exchange of knowledge and technology is crucial in overcoming modern challenges and achieving sustainable growth.

Reinforcing the UAE's dedication, Al Neyadi mentioned that the nation will persist in fostering partnerships with Chile and its Latin American neighbors, contributing to regional stability and sustainable economic advancement.
