Elon Musk and Donald Trump Celebrate Reunion in Austin

Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump seem to have mended their relationship, months after their public fallout. The two were seen together at a White House gathering, where Musk joined Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for a dinner aimed at fostering business and investment.

Throughout the evening, Trump expressed his support for Musk, exclaiming, "You are so lucky I am with you, Elon," while advocating for new tax breaks for local automobile production. In a gracious follow-up, Musk took to X to thank Trump publicly, stating, "I would like to thank President Trump for all he has done for America and the world," sharing images with Trump, the Saudi leader, and NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang.

This dinner comes after Musk’s stint as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a role he held briefly from January through May. After Musk's departure, which Trump announced would occur with the end of his special government contract, Musk had openly critiqued some of Trump’s fiscal proposals, labeling the spending plan the "Big Beautiful Bill."

Musk’s supporters are now planning a large celebration in Austin to honor his collaboration with Trump. Many former DOGE personnel are expected to gather for this two-day event at a luxury venue favored by Musk, with organization led by prominent DOGE figures.

This event signifies a renewed bond between the tech mogul and the president, underscoring Musk's ongoing sway in both the business community and political arenas.
