Dubai proudly marked the conclusion of its second annual National Month, a vibrant 30-day festivity that infused the city with national pride and cultural zeal. Spearheaded by Brand Dubai, the initiative of the Government of Dubai Media Office, this celebration engaged over 250 organizations from various sectors, embodying the city’s strong collaborative spirit.

This year's National Month recognized significant national milestones, commencing with Flag Day and culminating in the 54th Eid Al Etihad. Events were unified under the #ZayedAndRashid banner, honoring the vision of the UAE’s Founding Fathers—Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who are the architects of the nation's unity and progress.

Right from the kickoff, community involvement marked the celebrations. Families, residents, tourists, and locals actively participated in numerous events emphasizing loyalty, identity, and unity—the core values promoted throughout the month. Online engagement soared, with over 160,000 digital contributions, 75 million video views, and an impressive estimated reach of 2.9 billion worldwide.

A standout aspect of this year’s festivities was the exceptional collaboration between Dubai’s various institutions. Government agencies, cultural organizations, community groups, and private enterprises united to translate national values into unforgettable experiences. Organizers noted that this cooperative spirit remains crucial to Dubai's approach towards national events and enhances the bond between its citizens and the nation's future goals.

The month was filled with creative narratives, featuring over 150 local businesses from the Proudly from Dubai initiative contributing innovative ideas and community-centric experiences, bolstering local entrepreneurship and showcasing Dubai’s artistic talents.

Festivities began on November 3 with Flag Day, where His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum raised the UAE flag at the Dubai International Financial Centre. A remarkable artwork of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid, designed by Brand Dubai, adorned the Gate Building, combining elements of the UAE’s history with its ambitions in innovation and space.

Among the most popular attractions was the Flag Garden in Umm Suqeim 2, featuring 11,000 flags arranged to create a stunning 60-by-90 metre portrait of the two leaders, drawing thousands of visitors throughout the month.

Celebrations spread across Dubai, featuring numerous artistic and cultural displays. The Red Line of the Dubai Metro showcased portraits of the Founding Fathers alongside verses from the poem ‘The People and the Leader.’ At Expo City Dubai, the Firdaus Women’s Orchestra presented a musical tribute enriched by the same poem, adding an international artistic touch to the events.

Another remarkable highlight was a massive 82-metre ground artwork located near Dubai Frame, crafted with colorful gravel, forming a portrait visible from above, which became one of the most notable tributes during National Month.

The celebrations wrapped up on December 2 with the Al Etihad Parade, featuring over 500 vehicles in a moving procession from Union House—the birthplace of the Union—to Burj Al Arab, symbolizing the UAE's evolution from its historic roots to its contemporary achievements.

Celebrating community involvement, artistic expression, and national pride, this year’s National Month emphasized the deep connection the people have with the UAE’s narrative and its aspirations for the future.
