Dubai is gearing up for the largest assembly of futurists as the fourth Dubai Future Forum launches tomorrow at the Museum of the Future. Under the endorsement of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, this event, taking place from 18 to 19 November, is poised to attract over 2,500 delegates from 100 prominent global institutions.
This year’s gathering, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation, showcases more than 200 speakers participating in 70 sessions centered around five key themes: Exploring the Unknown, Empowering Societies, Reimagining Health, Optimising Systems, and Foresight Insights. The agenda aims to clarify how significant global shifts, new technologies, and societal challenges can redefine the future.
A new feature this year includes Learning Days on 17 and 20 November. These sessions, in collaboration with various regional and international entities, will cover subjects like foresight and global security, strategic philanthropy, wearable technology, urban resilience, and the media's future. Closed-door roundtables and expert dialogues are structured to delve deeper into new opportunities and potential risks.
Additionally, a media roundtable hosted by Arab News and Dubai Future Foundation aims to explore how media organizations can adapt to swiftly evolving technologies and digital changes. The talks emphasized the increasing significance of trust, policy, and responsible tech use in the AI era.
The forum will also feature specialized sessions led by international partners. Panels addressing global security will discuss how foresight tools can dissect complex geopolitical changes, while sessions on strategic philanthropy will reassess the future of impact-driven projects. Wearable technology discussions will examine the transition from research to practical solutions, and urban resilience panels will focus on how urban areas can counter climate challenges.
The opening day will feature a keynote address by Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, followed by a highlighted session with Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach and UAE Minister of State for AI Omar Sultan Al Olama. Various topics will be discussed, ranging from building regenerative communities to preparing sectors for economic evolution and defining the role of today’s futurists.
In conjunction, the Prototypes for Humanity – Dubai Future Solutions Exhibition 2025 commenced today at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, showcasing 100 top projects selected from over 3,000 submissions worldwide. Five innovators will be awarded support to evolve their projects into practical applications.
The forum will also announce the recipients of the first Dubai Foresight Awards, acknowledging leaders in three categories: Foresight Change Makers, Foresight for People, and Foresight for the Planet. Additionally, a Future Stories Awards Ceremony is planned to honor storytellers who inspire forward-thinking through creativity.
With support from key strategic partners such as Dubai Municipality, Emirates Global Aluminium, UNICEF, XPANCEO, The Explorers Club, and several universities, the Dubai Future Forum 2025 underscores the city's expanding influence as a global center for innovative, future-oriented ideas.
