The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has officially introduced the second phase of its Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme, following the substantial success of its inaugural phase. This new initiative aims to recruit an additional 25 Emirati participants, enhancing the involvement of UAE nationals in Dubai’s expanding real estate landscape.
This programme is integral to Dubai’s broader objective of fostering a knowledge-driven, diversified economy, underpinned by entrepreneurship and local talent. It also seeks to cultivate a sustainable and competitive real estate market by empowering Emiratis to establish and operate their own brokerage firms.
Delivered in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, New Economy Academy, and the Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai, the programme extends beyond fundamental training, offering mentorship, practical advice, and direct engagement opportunities with industry partners and stakeholders.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), noted that the commencement of this second phase demonstrates Dubai’s unwavering commitment to nurturing Emirati talent and enhancing their role in the real estate sector's future.
He emphasized that the programme is structured to equip Emirati brokers and entrepreneurs with essential skills, knowledge, and support necessary for establishing sustainable brokerage firms that contribute to a more effective and competitive real estate market.
Al Shehhi pointed out that the first phase highlighted the considerable potential of Emirati talent when placed in a conducive environment with professional support and practical learning opportunities. He encouraged Emirati citizens and entrepreneurs to leverage this programme to transform their aspirations into viable enterprises within one of Dubai’s most dynamic sectors.
The second phase will run for six months, featuring specialized training that encompasses legal, regulatory, operational, financial, and marketing dimensions of creating and running real estate brokerage firms. The curriculum will also prioritize the incorporation of technology and artificial intelligence into the real estate sector while upholding professional ethics and standards.
Participants will also have the chance to engage directly with developers and market stakeholders, enabling them to explore investment prospects and forge professional connections that can aid in the launch and expansion of their businesses.
The initial phase of the programme effectively linked participants with the real estate market and enhanced their readiness to transition from training to operational business activities.
Through this initiative, the Dubai Land Department remains committed to bolstering Emirati entrepreneurship by fostering an environment that merges education, practical experience, and sustainable economic benefits. The programme aspires to cultivate a new generation of Emirati real estate enterprises equipped to support market expansion and elevate Dubai's global stature in real estate investment.
DLD invites Emirati citizens keen to enter the real estate sector—whether seasoned professionals or newcomers wishing for a career shift—to register for the second phase before May 25, 2026.
