The concert underscored the strengthening ties between Turkic-speaking nations and illustrated Turkmenistan's ongoing commitment to fostering cultural diplomacy on an international stage. Authorities emphasized the importance of promoting peace, friendship, and mutual understanding through artistic endeavors and cultural exchanges.
Supported by the broader cultural policies of Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the event highlighted Turkmenistan’s dedication to enhancing collaborations with foreign nations and various international organizations, particularly in culture and humanitarian exchanges. Cultural diplomacy continues to be seen as a pivotal strategy for building trust and solidarity among nations.
The evening commenced with a performance of the musical piece “TÜRKMENISTAN bagy-bossan,” composed by Veli Mukhadov, executed by the State Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Turkmenistan. This work celebrated Turkmenistan’s natural splendor, wealth, and cultural depth, drawing warm applause from a vibrant audience.
As the evening progressed, opera singers and musicians illuminated the stage with well-known works from both Turkic and global classical repertoires. Attendees savored performances of notable national operas in Turkmen, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and Turkish languages, thus celebrating the rich artistic legacy of the Turkic realm.
The concert also featured world-renowned opera classics like “Romeo and Juliet,” “Carmen,” “Faust,” “Il Trovatore,” “Pagliacci,” and “Andrea Chénier.” These performances, presented in languages such as Italian, French, German, and Spanish, highlighted the universal essence of the event and the intertwining of Turkic culture with global classical music.
Cultural analysts remarked that this program served as a key symbol of solidarity among Turkic-speaking nations, illustrating how music and the performing arts can fortify international bonds and preserve the historical and spiritual connections shared across Central Asia and beyond.
In a heartwarming finale, all participating artists united to perform the classic Italian tune “Funiculì, Funiculà,” a powerful symbol of peace, harmony, and enduring friendship, which received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Artists and cultural ambassadors expressed their sincere appreciation to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for advocating international cultural partnerships and enabling opportunities for global artistic collaborations. Officials noted that the accomplished execution of the TURKSOY Opera Days concert further solidified Turkmenistan's pivotal position as a key cultural and humanitarian hub in the region.
