The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the luxury brand Louis Vuitton, aimed at fostering new career opportunities for Emirati citizens and People of Determination.

This collaboration seeks to establish job pathways in sectors like retail, craftsmanship, and fashion, in line with Dubai's commitment to an inclusive society and its international reputation for social and economic empowerment.

As part of this initiative, Emirati citizens are set to receive specialized training in areas such as tailoring, repairs, inventory management, retail sales, and effective communication. There will be a particular emphasis on integrating People of Determination into the workforce with tailored training programs, adaptive technologies, and personalized workplace support.

The partnership also aims to foster sustainable career growth, promote corporate social responsibility, and bolster volunteer efforts, with a notable focus on empowering women and enhancing inclusivity.

Maitha Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, emphasized that this partnership showcases the ongoing commitment to uplifting Emirati talent through practical skills and sustainable job avenues. She noted that collaboration with renowned global brands amplifies public-private partnerships and encourages societal contributions.

Miguel Vargas, Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Middle East, remarked on the brand’s dedication to nurturing Emirati talent and fostering inclusivity. He mentioned that this initiative will cultivate real job opportunities in retail and craftsmanship while helping individuals gain confidence and autonomy.

This MoU is in alignment with Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which prioritizes empowering Emiratis, enhancing their economic participation, and establishing a balanced society.

Both CDA and Louis Vuitton aspire to generate significant social and economic impacts targeting youth and People of Determination through skill enhancement, employment opportunities, and knowledge exchange.
