Canada Day celebrationThis year’s Canada Day celebration near Georgian Bay is going to be full of joy, nature, and community spirit.
On Tuesday, July 1, everyone is welcome to come together at Big Bay Dock to enjoy the fresh air and celebrate what it means to be Canadian. The day starts early at 8 a.m. with a peaceful yoga session right on the dock. Julie Bradley-Low from Stonegrove Farm & Wellness Studio will guide the session. There’s no need to sign up—just bring a mat, stretch out, breathe deeply, and enjoy the calm water view.
At 9 a.m., a special flag-raising ceremony will be held. People will sing “O Canada,” and local leaders will give short speeches. It’s a beautiful chance to feel proud and thankful for being part of the country.
After that, it’s time for a tasty breakfast! A free pancake breakfast will be served near the water by Heat N Eat. Of course, there will be sweet maple syrup to go with the pancakes, making the morning even more special.
Since parking is limited at Big Bay Dock, people are asked to walk, bike, or carpool. This helps keep the area clean and peaceful for everyone.
In the evening, the fun continues at Cobble Beach. There will be live music, delicious wood-fired pizza, special Canadian-style drinks, and a big fireworks show lighting up the sky above Georgian Bay.
The community also gave thanks to the local sponsors who helped make the day possible, including Eh! Tel and Hutten & Co. Landscaping.
It’s going to be a fun-filled Canada Day—full of memories, music, and maple syrup.
