Bella Thorne Stands Up for Priyanka Chopra Against PR Stunt Claims

Hollywood actress Bella Thorne has jumped to Priyanka Chopra’s aid following a recent wave of criticism on social media, sparked by an old airport video where fans claimed that Priyanka staged a publicity moment.

The stir began when a nostalgic clip surfaced, showing Priyanka Chopra arriving at an airport and signing autographs for fans—not once but twice in quick succession. This led many on social media to question the spontaneity of the interaction, implying it was a setup by her PR team to garner attention. The discourse around the video turned into a debate, with several commentators labeling it a “contrived PR strategy”, criticizing the showy nature of the situation.

Thorne responded to one of the trending posts, defending Priyanka's behavior. She remarked, “No, I don’t believe this is a PR gimmick. People really do follow you around in terminals. They even sell those signed pages online.”

She elaborated further: “That’s why it’s on a blank piece of paper. They are allowed to collect your signature and manipulate it in any manner they wish. Regardless, I’m seriously skeptical that she faked it. She’s simply being polite and signing again because they persistently follow her around the terminal.”

As for Priyanka’s upcoming projects, she is set to return to Indian cinema in SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Varanasi, where she stars alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, with a release expected during Sankranthi 2027. Priyanka will take on the role of Mandakini, with Mahesh playing Rudhra and Prithviraj as Kumbha.

On the international front, Priyanka is slated to appear as a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in The Bluff, and is currently involved in the second season of the web series Citadel. Her recent work includes the film Heads of State, co-starring Idris Elba and John Cena, now available on Prime Video.
