Digital Dubai has launched the AI Workforce Transformation Program (AI+), an extensive initiative aimed at equipping Dubai’s public sector workforce for the future of artificial intelligence. This program intends to train 50,000 public employees, enabling them to effectively adopt and implement AI solutions in their daily roles and public service delivery.
Implemented in partnership with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, this initiative falls under the Dubai Future Foundation's vision. It aims to fast-track digital transformation throughout all government sectors.
Objective: Cultivating an AI-Driven Public Sector
The AI+ program focuses on enhancing AI literacy among government employees at all levels. It aims to empower staff to utilize AI tools to boost efficiency, refine decision-making, and provide smarter public services.
Through role-specific learning pathways, the initiative aspires to cultivate a workforce adept at developing proactive, data-driven services that precisely cater to the needs of citizens.
Visionary Leadership Driving the Program
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, stated that government employees are transforming into active contributors in shaping smart services rather than merely utilizing technology. This initiative supports Dubai’s shift towards an intelligence-driven governance model consistent with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, DGHR Director General, emphasized that investing in human capital and future-ready skills, particularly in AI, is pivotal for enhancing governmental efficiency and fostering innovation.
H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, remarked that this program augments Dubai’s AI ecosystem by converting advanced technologies into impactful government applications.
