Dubai Set to Showcase Major Coffee Auctions in 2026

Post by : Bianca Hayes

World of Coffee Dubai 2026 is gearing up to transform the global coffee landscape by hosting three significant auctions organized by DMCC. Scheduled for its fifth edition between January 18–20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, this event follows last year's impressive success, where select microlots fetched bids exceeding USD 10,000 per kilogram—one of the highest worldwide.

This year's broadened program reinforces Dubai’s status as a key connector between origin markets and international buyers. The live auctions are arranged in collaboration with DMCC and DXB LIVE, coordinated by M-Cultivo, to create a fully digital and transparent trading atmosphere that provides buyers with direct access to verified data for every lot. Remote participation remains integral, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to efficiency and global connectivity in the specialty coffee sector.

Each day of the three-day event spotlights a unique theme. The first day will present a unique collection of limited-edition coffee equipment available solely through the auction. The second day will concentrate on specialty microlots from celebrated coffee-producing nations including Panama, Colombia, Ethiopia, Yemen, and Taiwan, featuring cupping sessions that enable buyers to evaluate quality prior to bidding. The final day will display coffees showcased by exhibitors, offering roasters and producers a chance to connect with global buyers and enhance their market reach.

The auctions coincide with a booming UAE coffee market valued at over USD 3.2 billion, expected to soar to USD 4.5 billion by 2029 due to the increasing demand for specialty coffee and the flourishing café culture. Dubai is evolving into a major re-export hub, with coffee re-exports surpassing AED 3.5 billion, supported by a mature industry ready to engage international stakeholders.

Producers and equipment manufacturers interested in submitting their lots for the 2026 auctions can now apply. Each submission will be rigorously assessed for quality, innovation, and traceability. Buyers are required to register in advance to participate in the auctions, whether in person or online.

World of Coffee Dubai 2026 is poised to attract considerable interest from the global coffee community, further solidifying Dubai’s position as a central hub where producers, traders, and specialty coffee connoisseurs come together to shape the future of the industry.
