On New Year’s Day, a tragic event unfolded as Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of acclaimed actor Tommy Lee Jones, was discovered deceased at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel staff alerted emergency services at 2:52 a.m. Thursday after finding Victoria unresponsive in her accommodation.
The San Francisco Fire Department reported that despite attempts at CPR, she was declared dead at the location. Both the San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s office have initiated inquiries into the incident, although the specific cause of death remains undisclosed.
Born on September 3, 1991, Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his second spouse, Kimberlea Cloughley. She had a brother, Austin Jones, aged 42. Victoria began her acting career as a child in Men in Black II (2002), a film featuring her father, and also appeared in the series One Tree Hill and the Western The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by Tommy Lee Jones. Although she distanced herself from acting in recent years, Victoria was occasionally seen at public events alongside her father.
Tommy Lee Jones, who has been married three times, shares Victoria and Austin with his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, from whom he divorced in 1996. He has been married to Dawn Laurel-Jones, a former photographer and camera operator, since 2001.
Authorities have requested that anyone with pertinent information contact the San Francisco Police Department at 415-575-4444 or send a text message to TIP411 starting with “SFPD.”
