The accomplished Austrian rider completed the 13.8km course in 17 minutes and 36 seconds, just 27 seconds shy of stage victor Paul Seixas from Decathlon CMA CGM. Großschartner initially positioned himself in second place before ultimately being surpassed by Kévin Vauquelin.
