UAE Showcases Cutting-Edge Defence Solutions at EDEX 2025 in Egypt

In a grand opening, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt inaugurated the Egypt Defence Expo 2025 (EDEX 2025), recognized as one of the premier platforms for the defence and security sectors in the region. The event showcased a range of global companies and official delegations presenting the forefront of defence innovation.

During the launch, President El Sisi toured the UAE Pavilion, organized by ADNEC Group with collaboration from the Tawazun Council for Defence Empowerment and the Ministry of Defence. The pavilion highlighted premier UAE entities like EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, AMMROC, and ADNEC, displaying their state-of-the-art solutions in aviation, land systems, cybersecurity, military manufacturing, and technical assistance.

Prominent figures such as Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt; Major General Yousef Mayouf Al Halami, Commander of the Land Forces; and Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Tawazun Council, visited the UAE Pavilion. Additionally, Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, represented Egypt.

Attendees commended the UAE Pavilion for its well-organized display and high-quality technologies. The event brought to light the UAE's pivotal role in fostering innovation and advancing defence industrial capabilities.

On the inaugural day, several memorandums of understanding were established to bolster defence and industrial relations between the UAE and Egypt. AMMROC formalized three agreements with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation related to aircraft, engines, and digital production. Moreover, GAL signed two agreements, while Abu Dhabi Aviation Group inked six with Egyptian counterparts, focusing on enhancing collaborative military manufacturing and tech ventures.

The UAE's involvement in EDEX 2025 underscores its dedication to forging strategic alliances and internationally promoting its defence industry, alongside supporting the growth of Egypt's defence and security landscape. Such initiatives highlight the strengthening partnership in defence technology, operational efficiency, and industrial progress between the two nations.

With the UAE Pavilion and the agreements formed, the nation reaffirms its commitment to excellence, modernization, and collaborative defence initiatives. This event also solidifies UAE-Egypt relations, promoting joint efforts in military innovation and advanced projects.

Additionally, EDEX 2025 was a platform for UAE firms to showcase their operational prowess, explore partnership opportunities, and foster knowledge exchange with Egyptian stakeholders, securing long-term development in the defence sector that benefits both countries while reinforcing the UAE's leadership in regional defence technology and industry.
